ThinkWell Institute’s Thrive Collective acts as a collaborative fiscal sponsorship incubator that serves social impact initiatives committed to building healthy, equitable, and justice-driven communities across the globe
What is Fiscal Sponsorship
Fiscal sponsorship is a contractual relationship between an existing 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a person, group, or business to help the latter advance mission driven activities and receive nonprofit benefits without needing to file for a nonprofit status.
Fiscal Sponsorship allows organizations to focus on their mission driven work without administrative burden.
We believe that fiscal sponsorship is a way to build partnerships bigger than just contractual obligations. Support beyond operational needs is a cornerstone of our model, so our team will carefully craft an agreement with you to ensure growth and mission acceleration are at the center of our partnership.
To be eligible for ThinkWell Institute’s Fiscal Sponsorship Program, an initiative must:
- Meet Thrive Collective’s membership standards and be willing to join ThinkWell Institute.
- Function within 501(c)(3) regulations and be noncommercial in nature.
- Not have its own 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status – or be willing to give that up as a condition of joining the Program.
- Be willing to engage in strategy sessions with ThinkWell Institute staff to incubate your idea, design a business plan, make financial projections and build a fundraising strategy
The Black Psychedelic Equity Fund (BPEF) is an organization whose goal is to provide Black people with the resources to access and become educated in psychedelic therapy. We work with BPEF to support their marketing and executive communications and develop effective fundraising strategies.
